Library Notices
Due date reminders, overdue, reservation pick-ups, and other Library notices will be emailed to your official college email account by default.
Off-campus Access
Get off-campus access to most databases and e-books through the Library website using your library account.
Borrowing Procedures
For the first time to borrow library items, you must log in to the OPAC. The login name and password are the same as Moodle login.
Ways for loan:
- Self-service
- Library counter
Self-service stations
The Library provides self-service for users to borrow books on their own. Self-service stations are installed on Gratia Christian College Library. To enjoy more convenience with circulation service, GCC Students and Staff holding Cards can borrow and return GCC Library books quickly and easily by themselves.
Please note that certain items cannot be borrowed /returned at Self- service stations:
- Extreme Oversize books
- Books with accompanying materials kept at counter
- Media
- Serials current issues
- Non-GCC Library books
Users are welcome to approach our library staff if they experience any problems when using the stations.
Spaces
The library features glass rooms that facilitate discussions and collaboration. These rooms are available for reservation by both students and staff members.

All staff and students can borrow cards that allow entrance to the libraries of many other institutions in Hong Kong.
Reader cards allowing entry to the following libraries are available on request:
- Hong Kong Baptist University Library
- Hong Kong Shue Yan University Library
- Yew Chung College of early childhood education Library
Please enquire at the library information services counter for details.
Notes & Important Notices
- Use library resources and facilities within the Library premises
- Some cards no borrowing privileges
- Renewal of the card may be granted provided that no other user is requesting the card
- Each card can only be used by one person per visit and the card is non-transferable
- For any missing and damaged of the reader card, users are responsible for the replacement cost of the card
- Users must observe all other Libraries’ rules and regulations
- Our Library will not be responsible for users’ behavior in the other Libraries

Gratia Alumni members can access selected resources, free of charge. To Join, register with the Alumni Affairs Office – Alumni registration form.

From home
We provide online access to full text journals via the databases.
The databases provide some full text, as well as indexing and abstracting services. You can limit your results to view Full text by ticking that option on the initial search page.
The Library does not provide:
- Borrowing
